The ideaA courtyard between the land and the sea.
Set along an imagined rocky stretch of the Persian Gulf, Tidal House is organized around a sheltered courtyard. A low concrete roof extends toward the water, holding living spaces in a continuous band of shade. The house opens to the horizon while turning its quieter rooms toward the protected garden.
A sequence of thresholds negotiates the transition from land to sea: a walled entrance, a planted court, a covered terrace and an open platform above the rocks. Deep reveals and cross-ventilated rooms propose an architecture shaped by coastal heat. The courtyard becomes both an outdoor room and the climatic center of the house.
