The ideaSmall rooms in a vast landscape.
Dune Retreat explores a dispersed alternative to the single hotel building. A family of rammed-earth rooms follows the contours of an imagined desert site outside Yazd. Each volume encloses a small courtyard, placing a protected outdoor space between the room and the open landscape.
The buildings are connected by a narrow pedestrian path that widens into shared places for dining and gathering. Thick walls, recessed openings and shaded passages establish a gradual transition between interior and exterior. The settlement is read as a group of quiet edges within the changing forms of the dunes.
